General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must hold either:
- a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the University of Florida Graduate School, or
- a DVM degree from a veterinary college recognized by the University of Florida Graduate School.
International degrees must be considered equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree.

Applicants are generally expected to hold a degree in a natural science, forensic science, criminal justice, criminology, anthropology, veterinary medicine, or a closely related field. Applicants with degrees outside these areas may be considered based on relevant professional experience and are encouraged to contact the program prior to applying.
Minimum GPA Requirements
- Master’s Degree: 3.0 upper-division undergraduate GPA
- Graduate Certificate: 2.0 upper-division undergraduate GPA
- Non-Degree Enrollment: 2.0 upper-division undergraduate GPA
